Landscape and Figures in Watercolour

A more advanced watercolour course, this workshop will contain less emphasis on basics, with increased information on practical technique and the luminosity of wet-in-wet watercolour. An invigorating and challenging course for you, the artist, to gain a greater insight into the diversity and vitality of this great medium.

It will enable each participant to not only produce an array of varied works, but also to obtain a simplified understanding of procedure. Each stage of procedure will be suitably covered and explained methodically, backed up with appropriate demonstrations of technique.

Teaching emphasis will be based on various aspects of landscape, with figurative (or animal) themes included, "as shapes—how to interpret an illusion of light on the subject at hand”.

This course will include design, drawing, and Art Elements, how to use these relevantly; and will be reinforced with regular distribution of teaching notes—“reminders”. Themes include: Skies—Water--Trees-Buildings-Animals—People, Etc. Weather permitting, a half day will be outdoors.

This course is suited to artists with experience and advanced artists.
