Jambezi Marimba Band

Enjoy the exiting music of this well known marimba band. Jambezi is unique in Australia, featuring funky dance songs originating from across southern Africa and using the Zimbabwean style of bright and buzzing marimba music. The band mixes seven marimbas with drum kit, mbira (thumb piano) , congas, vocals, percussion and brass, thus producing high energy music guaranteed to get audiences up and on their feet.
The band has played at many festivals including the Woodford Folk Festival, Queensland Music Festival and the Brisbane Festival. |

Tony Rice is running this rolling workshop. Kite kits will be available.
Tony is an artist who has gained National acclaim for his imaginative kites. His artworks include the use of traditional Asian kitemaking techniques and materials and, as a member of the Australian Kiteflyers Society, he has been a major influence in this particular technique.
A fly-off for kites constructed during the Workshop will be arranged. |
