Kenilworth Celebrates! Art Competition  

For the eleventh annual Kenilworth Art Exhibition, categories include: Sculpture; Pottery and Ceramics; Painting, with categories of Landscapes, Mary Valley View Point, Still Life, The Human Form, Animal Life, Contemporary Art and Miniatures; also Youth and Children's Art.

Prizes are awarded in each category, totalling $6300.

The Kenilworth - Maroochy Mayor’s Acquisitive Art Prize

The annual Mayor’s Prize of $15,000 was created by the then Mayor of Maroochy Shire, Cr Joe Natoli, in 2006. It is a national aquisitive prize intended to give recognition and financial support to artists who have demonstrated outstanding artistic achievement and are committed to their ongoing creative development. The winner is selected by a panel of three professional judges. Entries are shortlisted and finalists' work is exhibited at Kenilworth Hall during the Arts Festival. The prize is awarded at the preview night, 26 September 2008.
