Kenilworth Art Prize Winning Painting -

Winner of the $15,000 Kenilworth Art Prize 2009 - "The Deep Forest" by Neil Taylor.

Four well known Australian painters demonstrated their technique by painting pictures of the Mary Valley, which were then displayed with other work by the four artists. Here Terry Lewitska takes a break from painting to play his guitar.

The Master Painters who demonstrated their techniques at the Masters at Work Exhibition, Ross Patterson, Colley Whisson, John Wilson and Terry Lewitska, all of whom were among the tutors for the Kenilworth Art Workshops.


imageThe Kenilworth Artists' Workshops-

Ten well known tutors each provided four-day workshops for over 100 novice and experienced artists. Some of Gail Higgins' pastel group hard at work.

Street entertainers included the the Phoenix Firetribe stilt walkers, the Noosa Pipe Band, the Bollywood Dancers, Brett Campbell and "Charlie Chaplin". Here one of the Phoenix Firetribe artists appears at the Kenilworth Hotel.

The afternoon concert by the Sunshine Coast Symphony Orchestra was followed by a 'Symphony Dinner' at the historic Kenilworth Homestead.
