"This display will contribute to the Sunshine Coast lifestyle, environment and culture by reaching out and engaging the local community and people further afield to offer a sense of belonging for the community who have been living here for a long time and for the younger members... The project aims to inspire awareness and protection of their Sunshine Coast heritage and cultural awareness.
Photographic display will be in the foyer of the Kenilworth Hall while the general ArtsFest exhibition is held upstairs. The renaming of the Sunshine Coast had a positive effect on Kenilworth as they are now linked to the ‘Sunshine Coast’ which gives Kenilworth the economic resources to advertise their remoteness but at the same time the closeness to the Sunshine Coast.” Birgit Kehr
This exhibition is part of Kenilworth ArtsFest 29 Sept to 2 Oct 2017 in the Kenilworth Hall foyer.
Photographic display of images taken 50 yrs ago borrowed from the Kenilworth Historical Society. Those images will then be copied by re-photographing the original place from 1967 and 2017.
